The UK is full of great places to party, from large clubs in bustling cities to deceptively quiet village pubs. If you are looking to let your hair down, paint the town red or go out on the razzle then you have certainly come to the right place. Here are some of the best places to party in Britain.

London is the go to party destination for Brits and international travellers alike. Whether you like pop, jazz, techno, reggae or drum and bass, there are so many options that it is impossible you will not find something that tickles your fancy. If you are a tourist, you may prefer a Thames boat party or to visit a nightclub in Covent Garden. If you visit the ultra chic nightclubs of Mayfair or Soho you may bump into a celebrity or two. If you prefer a more laid back atmosphere, take the tube to Shoreditch where you can hang out at one of the many trendy bars in this area.

Glasgow has a fantastic nightlife, especially when it comes to live music. There are various venues, both small and large, that host a variety of live acts from little known indie bands to internationally successful acts. The west end of Glasgow is teeming with students and has a young, arty feel to it. In this area you can dine on mussels and chips on the ever so quaint Ashton Lane before sampling a few whiskeys at a pub on Byres Road. If you are planning a more epic night out then head to Sauchiehall Street which is a hub of activity on a Saturday night.

Brighton is well-known for its seaside but it also has a very popular and vibrant nightlife. On a warm evening there are various options along the seafront to enjoy some food and drink on a terrace. Behind the esplanade, the city is a maze of cobbled streets which makes it a very beautiful place to sit outside and enjoy a cocktail or two. With a large student population the local pub and bars offer great deals on drinks and food. There are many clubbing options in Brighton from live music to dance music. Being so close to London, it is a great place to try something new if you live or are visiting the capital.

Edinburgh is a not only bursting at the seams with places to eat and drink, it is also the home to one of the most popular festivals in the world. It is a must place to visit during the month of August where the city turns into a massive party. Venues hosting comedy, music and dance pop up all over the city and street acts become something of a regular occurrence. During this month the licenses of most pubs are extended their opening hours until 5am allowing you to party to your heart’s content. Outwith this month Edinburgh is also a great place to see in the New Year with it’s Hogmanay street party on Princes Street where fireworks are set off from the Castle.
